"Wow! If you want to meet a dedicated speaker, you gotta meet Alisha Cline. In preparing for her workshop she loaded her car with props so that the attendees would have the opportunity to be hands on and create their own sets. She answered questions about everything from safety in dealing with babies to safety when staging the set, discussed lighting, and extended the scheduled time so that we could play longer (with building our sets) and make more questions! Thank you Alisha for going above and beyond!
We also had the generous support of Millers Professional Imaging, Photobiz, and our very own Vintage Now Modern, a super cool antique store in downtown Greenville."

The Science of Dogs- 2 hours to 4 day School length.
Outside of photography, I am also an AKC Approved Evaluator, Professional Member of the Int'l Assoc. of Canine Professionals and Int'l Assoc. of Animal Behavior Member. I train levels from puppy basics to working service dogs. This fun and furry hands-on program takes a unique turn; each day will start with a short lecture on animal behavioral science-based topics. Then we'll switch gears and work on applying what we've discussed to photography. We'll spend most of each day working on styling stories, posing and learning different lighting techniques for different textures and colors. At the end of the week, we'll cover editing techniques and selling your art.
The Art of Black and White - 6.5 hour Merit Class up to 4 Day School
This program is a maximum hands-on experience. We begin the week with lighting basics: ratios, settings, seeing the light patterns, using Inverse Square Law explaining it visually, and using a light meter. We discuss and photograph high to low keys, use additive, layering and subtractive techniques. Through the week we move into creating characters and impact, upping the technical skill sets to more advanced layering of different modifiers together, and end the week learning how to navigate NIK Silver EFx to create pieces for print competition.
Lighting Your Way to Stronger Portraits - 6.5 hour Merit Class up to 4 Day School length
This program explores 3,000 years of light and shadow in classical art. Attendees of this program will learn the reasons behind why we paint with light the way we do; from the smoky Sfumato to the dramatic Pittura Tenebrosa of Chiaroscuro are discussed in depth. Your membership learn how the 12 elements of print competition have roots in classical art. In the second part of this engaging program, a demo portion has been added to show how to apply classical techniques to modern photography. For affiliates with a variety of skill sets in their membership, this program is for must! It is my most dynamic and favorite program to teach, as well as my most requested.
*School weeks will also include Posing Your Way to Stronger Portraits where I dive into the fine art aspect of posing why we do.
Mighty Mini Sessions - 90 minutes - 2 hours *Works well as a webinar*
This program explains how mini session events can be a mighty staple in any studio. The system is not about turn and burn but developing a meaningful, lasting relationship with families that grows into long-term and valuable clients. During this program your membership will learn how to successfully navigate through a mini session event. I'll explain how to develop a budget and why staying on it for each event is the key to profit. In this program I share affordable, creative, and effective marketing strategies for maximum bookings. I teach how to create a product catalog just for mini sessions that sell unique and quality signature heirlooms without competing with full-sized sessions. I walk through how to sale in person immediately after the session for maximum profits and discuss work flow on retouching to delivery.

"I recently had the joy of taking Alisha's class The Art Of Black And White". As a professional photographer, with a CPP, and a passion for black and white photography. This course was the perfect course to take. I had some specific questions within the technicals. that would elevate my portraiture to the next levels. this includes not only client work, but competition work and play time. In Alisha's program, I did not even have to ask the questions I had going into the workshop. She answered them as she presented! I highly recommend this class to anyone who is wanting up raise their personal bar on black and white portraiture. Sh is easy to learn from, open and easy going. Alisha's class pairs the technicals with the story. I highly recommend this workshop.

"Alisha has always been dedicated to education and giving back. It's one thing to have a speaker come to simply instruct, it's another to have them come and invest in your group. She took the extra time to add things to the class that would allow anyone in our area to apply the knowledge, but even more then that, she went above and beyond by helping attendees all throughout the event. For her it doesn't stop when her instruction concludes, it continues throughout the entire event and after. Thank you for being such a giving and thoughtful instructor to all those who wish to grow in this industry."
